Trained for Violence: Prepare for the Unknown

In modern societies, the phrase “trained for violence” evokes a stark tension between the necessity of preparedness and the moral imperative to restrain force. Whether it is the rigorous drills of soldiers on a battlefield, the calibrated scenarios faced by police officers on city streets, or the disciplined conditioning of elite athletes in contact sports, training aims to transform raw aggression into controlled, purposeful action. This transformation hinges on three intertwined pillars: technical proficiency, psychological conditioning, and ethical framing.

Technical proficiency equips individuals with the skills needed to neutralize threats efficiently and safely. Firearms proficiency, tactical movement, and close‑quarters combat are taught through repetitive, muscle‑memory drills that reduce hesitation in high‑stress moments. Yet skill alone is insufficient; without mental resilience, even the most polished techniques can crumble under pressure. Psychological conditioning—often delivered through stress inoculation, scenario‑based simulations, and mindfulness practices—teaches trainees to regulate adrenaline, maintain situational awareness, and make rapid judgments when lives hang in the balance.

How to Measure for Your T-Shirt

To ensure the best fit for your new t-shirt, please follow these measuring instructions carefully. You'll need a flexible tape measure (fabric or plastic). It's also helpful to have someone assist you with measuring to ensure accuracy.

1. Chest

How to Measure: Stand up straight with your arms at your sides. Have someone wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits, and across your shoulder blades. The tape should be snug but not tight.

Where to Measure: Measure around the widest part of your chest.

2. Sleeve Length

How to Measure: Place your hand on your hip, with your arm bent at a 90-degree angle. Start the tape measure at the center back of your neck, run it over the shoulder, and down your arm to the wrist.

Where to Measure: Measure from the back of your neck to your wrist.

3. Body Length

How to Measure: Find the highest point of your shoulder (close to where the shoulder seam of your t-shirt would sit). From this point, pull the tape straight down to the point on your body where you want the hem of the t-shirt to sit.

Where to Measure: Measure from the top of your shoulder to where you want the bottom of the t-shirt to be.

Additional Tips:

  • Stand Naturally: Make sure you're standing comfortably and naturally to get the most accurate measurements.
  • Wear Similar Clothes: If possible, wear similar clothing (or minimal clothing) to what you would wear with the t-shirt when measuring.
  • Don't Pull Too Tight: The tape measure should lay flat against the skin but not be pulled too tight. You should be able to fit a finger between the tape and your body.

If you're between sizes or if your measurements fall into different sizes, consider whether you prefer a tighter or looser fit. You can also reach out to our customer service team for personalized sizing advice.
